Lip synch tutorial

In lesson we were given a camera, a c-d player and a song to learn and were directed to go and film some of the song using a variety of different camera angels.

What skills did you learn through this activity?
I didn't learn many skills during this activity as we had already been taught how to lip sync. The only thing I did learn was how to edit multiple shots on top of each other at the same time.
What did you find most challenging?
The most challenging aspect of this activity was syncing all the shots to the one song as it required a lot of skill and patience. However improvement in this aspect of my editing, i feel, will come with practice.

What new tools on Final Cut Pro. did you learn to use?
I had not used the razor blade tool before which made cutting the shots quicker and more efficient however apart from this I had used all the tools however this time I just used them differently.

What observations did you make about how editing differs in music videos, compared to producing the opening to a thriller film?
The editing in music videos is a lot more complicated; having to cut to the beat of the music, making sure everything is synced properly and ensuring you make use of different camera angels to make the video interesting.
