4) What have you learned from your audience feed back?

A lot of people commented on our cuts. praising how on point they were. This sows our beats were on point with the cuts.
'Your location matches your genre' this audience feedback shows the audience had an understanding of the genre.
when aske is there anything we could improve on many relied 'no' which is a thumbs up.
However somebody did say if we had a few more people in the video it would have looked better. but given the song is about 'blaze; it made sense with just her in it.
over all, great feed back!

3)How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Google allowed me to check for other artist digipak and leaflets.
this a and easy way to get inspirational ides for my own  digipak and leaflet.
it was straight forward and easy to use. I simply typed in what i wanted to search for, it they gave me options , for what kind of search i wanted, i.e:web, image, video, maps, news...

Using a camera we took pictures of our anamatic story board. This is a quick and easy way to capture  our ideas
By using YouTube i was  able to analyse other videos . YouTube also is a great way to get influential ideas.

During our filming stages we had to use a state of the art JVC camera. This was great with lots of different. Along with the camera we used a memory card which stored all our important files (videos, pictures, ect)

Blogger has helped me record what i have been doing step by step. this also enabled me to look back at my work to re fresh my memory and to see where i have improved, where i sill need to improve and what is still left to do.

2) How effective is the combination of your main product (video) and ancillary texts (digipak and advertisement)?
My theme was typical 'chav' who drinks, hardly has any money left after spending it all on booze. Maybe living off parents or in a run down estate. The main similarities and links between my advert, didgipak and video are the position of how 'blaze' 9sarah0 is sitting her hair.

I aim of using the lips is to attract the male audience. However i think this is a great way to attract both male and female audiences. Simply because the females may be attracted by the red lipstick, for the interest of fashion. whereas the male audience may be attracted sexually.

As seen on this screen shot taken from the leading British band N-Dubz. i also Incorporated the use of the blonde hair and red lips.

(considering N-Dubz are so popular and also have a similar age group based audience. )

Evaluation

1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

The only aspects of this video which i intended to use and incorporate into my video, that are :
Aspects such as similarities in their every day life styles, dress sense, age group and some kind of location similarities. By doing this the audience should get an idea of what type of person the character is and her lifestyle.
Nelly's CD cover was highly influential to me. like on Nelly's front cover he only reveals half of his face i to only used half of my artists face.

Another aspect from a previous students video which i will incorporate is the use of red lips repeated in grids, reason being because red lips show sexual attraction. this should grab the attention of both male and female audiences.
previous student work.

Feedback for music video - Louder

It is clear from the feedback that our music video fitted in very well with the genre of the song and matched the niche urban audience. From the feedback that was gathered the improvements that could be made are very minor and were more about the performance than the editing and filming of the video.

the consistency of the colour usage on this digipak is through out. showing the visible links. also the font is the same on each panel, both with linking images.

Just like Nelly has used half of his face, i too am going to use half of Sarah's face through out my six panel digipak. using at least four half's of her face.

Vladimir Propp

vladimir propp's theories

"Contending that fairy tales could be studied and compared by examining their most basic plot components, Formalist Vladimir Propp developed an analysis that reduced fairy tales to a series of actions performed by the dramatis personae in each story. Propp argued that all fairy tales were constructed of certain plot elements, which he called functions, and that these elements consistently occurred in a uniform sequence. Based on a study of one hundred folk tales, Propp devised a list of thirty-one generic functions, proposing that they encompassed all of the plot components from which fairy tales were constructed.Use of Proppian analysis reveals that fairy tales do share several similarities as far as basic plot elements. However, attempted Proppian analyses of several tales reveals that his claim of a uniform plot progression does not hold. Propp’s analysis also fails to recognize the importance of such story components as tone, mood, characterization, and writing style just to name a few. According to Propp, a cohesive story can be formed by connecting a series of any set of the thirty-one functions in order. This project explores this component of Propp’s argument by randomly generating a fairy tale from selected functions. Each function has several passages written specifically to express that function, and the generator will randomly select one passage for each selected function. While each passage appropriately expresses its respective plot element, the tone, characters, and settings may vary. The randomly generated fairy tale demonstrates that it is necessary to consider several other elements besides plot components in order to create a cohesive and well-written tale."

basically he is saying all folk tales and fairy tales are the same.vilan - hero
